Search in Collections
Currently, the Tips & Tricks, Input File, Macro, Technical Papers, and Undocumented Features sections are searchable by name, author, or description (> 1000 items in database). Please click on the respective links above for disclaimer and general information.

You can search for multiple words using the following syntax:
  • Use of term will search for term. However, if you search for term1 term2, then the search results will include either term1 or term2.
  • Enter +term to signify that search results must contain term. If you search for +term1 +term2, then the search results will only include results with both term1 and term2. On the other hand, if you search for +term1 term2, then the search results will include results with only term1 but with results containing term2 being listed first.
  • Enter -term to omit results containing term. For example, if you search for +term1 -term2, then only results containing term1 but not term2 will be displayed.
  • Enter "term1 term2" to search for the exact phrase term1 term2.
  • Wildcards can be used. Enter "term*" to search for any word beginning with term, such as term1 and term2.
  • Search words must be more than three characters long (i.e., you cannot search for "CP").
For example, try searching for +contact -thermal friction, and the returned results should contain the word contact but not the term thermal, sorted by those containing friction.

This is a very basic search utility which only searches in the description field for ONE phrase (space allowed). You can also search by author name or title. Try searching for a single, general term like "contact", "transient", "radiation", or "surface effect" before getting too specific.
