Information about ansys.net
This site was created, is maintained, and is hacked together by one individual – armed with only a simple text editor – during periods of boredom, insomnia, and dementia.

Feel free to contact me at query1 [at] ansys [dot] net with comments about this page; I enjoy any constructive feedback you can provide. If you'd like to contribute, you can send me macros, papers, links, and input files, and I'll post them here. However, please DO NOT send me emails asking for help in solving your models! Ask your local ANSYS technical support office for assistance.

The third incarnation of ansys.net

In case you may be curious, one of the first layouts looked like this. All of the pages were static, and I used frames (ugh) for the blue menubar on the right. ansys.net first went online in March 3, 2000

The second layout kept evolving, but this is what it finally looked like. There was a mix of static and dynamic pages, as I learned how to hack with PHP and MySQL to make the input files, macros, etc. searchable. This second version retained a lot from the old, but almost everything is dynamic, and I rewrote almost all of the PHP scripts to make them easier to manage.

Now, I use a slightly different layout. I chose four color schemes which automatically change, depending on the time of year. You should be able to adjust font sizes with your browser.
